Not far from where Kara was walking, a blur would whoosh past her and her Pokémon, accompanied by a female's voice screaming. Shortly after that, she would catch a good view of a Shiny Beedrill of amazing size giving chase in the direction of the blur, followed by a Type: Null that looked rather aggressive. It was a good thing the chimeric Normal-type was occupied with what seemed to be training of some kind!

Following another feminine yelp, Kara would find herself in front of quite the strange posse of Pokémon. It was hard to say whether the Type: Null Lathiel, the Shiny Beedrill Queen Zing, or the Pheromosa Nymris was the most unusual of the three. Was that a saddle on the green bug-type and halters at the sides of its head? Perhaps most unusual of all was the sight of a young woman, clad in a red-and-green, dragon-scaled SYGNA SUIT, sliding down the Ultra Beast's large, sturdy wing. "Oh, hello there! Do you need help getting back to Petalburg?" she asked. If Kara was observant, she would notice a wooden door covering the entrance to a giant, hollowed-out tree.

Shalin had instructed Lathiel to practice sparring with Shalin's other Pokémon. Rather than working her other moves, though, she used exclusively her CRUSH CLAW, which was a move she had already mastered. While she was winning matches, working on that move wasn't going to make her any stronger!

Perhaps she had scared the young girl? One had to be brave to raise an Ultra Beast, after all. One had to be braver yet to ride one. "You okay?" Shalin asked the timid-looking girl. Her blank stare was understandable; after all, Lathiel, Nymris, and Queen Zing were all rare in some way. Lathiel and Nymris were both species of very rare, terrifying Pokémon, and the Shiny Beedrill was enormous and wore a saddle. Who in Hoenn would be courageous enough to be willing to sit in that saddle? Even if the bug was friendly, the noise from being right next to the wings would be so loud!
